In preparation of the upcoming battle for Sanctuary, I have created the following exercises to help my fellow adventurers get into prime fighting condition…

Another excellent Skyrim animation from Harry Patridge
His previous video was one of the first things I posted on this blog:
Pixels are more better

This video further justifies my opinion that any topic can be made more better with pixel art. Old tv shows? More better with pixels.

I’d watch a season of Pokemon done in an Adventure Time style in a heart beat… also, don’t fart unless you can hide it.
Wizorb… is awesome!
by Johnny on Sep.29, 2011, under Video Games

Wizorb is a new entry in the Xbox Live indie games area, though it should be a full-on Arcade title. Unlike most of the games in the indie section, Wizorb is a fully realized game. Created by Tribute Games, a Montreal based studio dedicate to creating games pixel art and classic game design. And they are really really good at it.

The video above should give you the gist of Wizorb. You play a wizard who battles monsters via an ‘Arkanoid’ game mechanic with a few RPG elements. The game controls perfectly, the art is fantastic if you are a fan of pixel art, the music is perfect for the setting, it is very cheap (240 MSPoints) and most important of all it is really fun.
I hope Tribute brings the game to other platforms, it would be a shame to see it waste away on the under promoted xbla indie channel. iOS? Steam? Anyone?
Go buy the game.

…get all the cool stuff. This might be the first time I have ever thought Daffy Duck might be my favorite Looney Toon.
Star Fiction… Pulp Wars?

Though I prefer it when Sullustan pilots speak in Kikuyu, this Pulp Fiction/Star Wars mash-up is not a trap.
It is rad.

This is not the first truly amazing video I have seen to come out of Cartoon Networks new MAD tv show. If Fox’s MADtv had been half this good it would have buried SNL back in the late 90′s.
D&D Jones Soda Review No.2

Todays Flavor: Dwarven Draught

Most dwarves spend a great deal of their time underground, so it goes without saying that they probably know a thing or two about roots. Historically the various forms of Dwarven alcoholic beverages have received the dragons share of the press, the Dwarven root beer I just enjoyed should not be over looked by thirsty adventurers.
The label on the bottle states:
“Dwarves know mining, dwarves know metalworking, but above all, dwarves know root beer. Dwarven Draught is inspired by the best recipes of the dwarven clans. It’ll put hair on yer chin.
Effect: It’s good for what ales you!”
Personally I would have been more interested in sampling an array of various dwarven beers and ales, but the Jones Soda Co. does not dabble in such liquids, so a root beer is the next best option. The drink was very smooth and overall quite enjoyable. Of the two beverages I have reviewed thus far, the Dwarven Draught is the better drink, though its effect is paltry compared to the Brain Juice’s 1d10 +INT
