Google Waves Goodbye

The official Google blog is reporting that due to low user adoption, the Google Wave project is being canceled. This is very sad news to avid wave users. Google plans to keep the service running till the end of the year. Hopefully the source code will be released and private wave servers will be available. No word was given regarding existing user waves and if there will be a means to easily save the data locally once the service ends.
